19/10/2008 - Sorry for the long overdue update. Music is progressing at a pace with several new songs in development. Steve Cerone has joined the musician pool that contributes to The Purple Children. Currently He is adding percussion to Sunshine and working On Christmas Lights.

I was hoping to get an EP released as soon as now, but unfortunately this has been put back. The advantage however being that it allows for some new material to be considered for the five track disc.

We also have an artist working on the cover and hopefully a producer that will mix and master the recordings.

01/02/2008 Transcendental Records. To enable us to produce and release material, we have decided to create our own record label. The label will be the vehicle for all my various projects and allow us to release music free from contracts or obligations.

18/12/2007 - It's been a hectic time recently! The band has grown with the welcome addition of Justin Lee on lead guitar and the possibility of a drummer coming on board soon. We have been working on several songs that are in various states of completion. The current aim is to get 12 songs complete by March and then to rehearse them for gigs from the summer onwards. 08/04/2007 - Jazzy is continuing work on the tracks that will make up the debut R.M.P album 'Sojourn'. Several demo versions of these tracks can be downloaded for free at MP3.com and you can ask questions direct by joining the R.M.P yahoo group.

21/03/2007 - There seems to be some technical problem with the streaming files at mp3.com. At the moment you can only download direct from the summary page the files available with the orange mp3 button.

11/03/2007 - Production of both R.M.P (The Ring Modulator Project) and The Purple Children will be under the umbrella of Transcendental Records Ltd. The Company will deal with all business aspects of production and management and act as an independent label.

11/03/2007 - Work has begun on the debut R.M.P album under the working title of 'Sojourn'. Track selection is being worked on with the aim of around 70-80 minutes of play time. Each track will then be worked through cubase with some cleaning up and possible additional layers added. Once artwork and a master has been made a limited production will be commissioned and hopefully independent distribution secured of digital and hard copies across the globe.

23/03/2007 - I will record a series of podcasts soon which will act as a diary into the creative process of The Purple Children and R.M.P (The Ring Modulator Project). The first one will look at the remastering of tracks for the debut R.M.P album.

11/03/2007 - With work scheduled on Sojourn, there will be an opportunity to take some photos and fill in the Studio section of this website with a look at the tools being used to write both The Purple Children songs and R.M.P tracks.
